New Friend
This little girl is such a sweetheart. Her family had me over to their home for a quick session awhile back and miss S loved showing me her toys. She also had to test my knowledge on sesame street characters… I passed the test, but only because of mom’s help. I’m still baffled that one of the characters is named Prairie Dawn. Anyways, I’m happy that S and I became friends so quickly because that meant I was able to capture some great smiles!
Don’t you just adore her super cute owl hat!! Loved her coat and fingerless mittens too.
And we took some family shots for Christmas Cards!
Thanks for inviting me into your home A family!
**Just a reminder for our previous clients, Christmas Card orders are due Dec. 3rd!**
Celebrate!
Lots of things to celebrate this week. Good food, (hopefully) good company, short work weeks, time with the most important people in your life and the first birthday of this cutie-pie! We should also applaud her mama’s crafting skills, she made the hat using my tutorial (check it out under categories > tutorials), appliqued the onesie, and sewed (yes sewed!) the tutu! Good work mama! I think your cutie was quite pleased with her ensemble… or maybe it was the cupcake…
We can also celebrate funny daddys and big sisters.
Quite the week right? Throw in some snow and wind and things are sure to get even more interesting. UGH… Safe travels everyone!
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
Just thought I’d blog today to make sure all of you knew about the snow outside! Ha, as if you didn’t know! I know many of you are not liking this much at all, but I have to admit I love winter and so does my family, even the dog! Ok, I hate that winter is cold but I love the coziness of it! Anyone with me on this one?! Probably not…but I just had to share a picture of my kids outside in the first snowfall of the year…I love how Cooper is throwin snow up in the air and Kobey is standing there thinking “why am I outside with him right now??”!
Here’s to a short work week and safe travels! Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
Nice Duds
Often times when a family books a session the first thing they ask is “What should we wear??”. This family asked that very question and my response was a rather wordy email talking about textures, layering, pops of colors and accessories. I usually tell the parents or mom to take the all of the outfits they are considering for a family shot and spread them out on the bed to see if they work well together. It’s also important that mom and dad be comfortable because it’s hard to relax when you’re in a scratchy sweater! Anyways, these concepts are pretty hard to explain without visuals but this mom and dad totally understood and did an awesome job picking outfits for their session. (I might have been a wee bit jealous of the mom’s boots, she had an awesome grey pair as well.)
I’ve already posted this next shot on facebook, but I just can’t get enough of it, so thought I’d share it here too. Isn’t he just the cutest little guy?! (By the way, have you liked us on facebook yet?)
His little sister was such a sweetie too. Loved her outfit for up at the loft. Her mom made her that adorable yo-yo headband! Those are the extra little touches that take a photo from “cute!” to “WOW!”.
And I couldn’t resist showing these last ones, don’t they look like models for a clothing store or something??
Pretty in pink ~ [modern baby photographer]
Meet my niece “B”! I might be a tish biased but isn’t she the cutest baby girl ever?! Miss B came up to the studio a couple of weeks ago to have 9 mo photos taken. It was so much fun, it actually kind of makes me want to have another baby, but my hubby might have other opinions about that one! I think I’ll just borrow “B” to get my baby fix!
LOVE the leg warmers…
It was soooo hard to chose just a few photos to share with you all, but this next photo seriously has to be my favorite!
And of course we had to show off that cute lil tooshie! I have a feeling one day she will hate me for this…
Thanks for spending the day with your Auntie and making my job so easy!
Hippity Hop
This little guy was all about showing off his mad hopping skills when we came up for his session a couple weeks ago. Look at the air he can get!!
He was also a big fan of the variety of seating to play with. Big couch, little chair, and I believe the spinning chair was his favorite…
Of course it’s that time of year to think about Christmas cards (Ria posted our cards on the blog last week) so mom and dad joined their little man outside for some family pictures. It was a perfect day for it too.
Hope you like your gallery V family!!
Run Away Kid ~ [Fargo Family Photographer]

Ok this was one busy lil dude as you can see from the picture above, but we managed to get some pretty cute shots…
And last but not least the family of 3!
